In the passed weekend we have started our general cleaning to “招くmaneku – invite)” the new year.
As cleaning I caught a smell of smoke.
Someone might make fire with leaves gathered in their garden.
In this season we are cleansing the dirt of this year to welcome the new year with pure heart.
“Maneki-neko” is a popular figurine in Japan as “lucky-cat” inviting happiness or wealth. “Maneki” means inviting and “Neko” means cat in Japanese.
